My name is Jackie and I live with my husband in Killeen Texas, along with our two Boston Terriers. Together we have two sons, one daughter and nine grandchildren. I have been associated with the military for 30+ years. My husband is retired Air Force. I also served in the Air Force for several years. We have a son who is in the Army, one son who served in the Army and a daughter who is in the Navy.
I started making cloth dolls and did well with that but I wanted more. Someone asked if I could make a purse out of a military uniform, so I decided to give it a try! I made one for a friend whose husband is in the Army. The day she received it people were asking where she had gotten it and if they could order one.
I guess you could say the rest is history. That is when my purse business began. Each purse I make has a very special meaning to the person I make it for, and it makes me so proud to be a part of that. I know how it feels to carry something that reminds you of your loved one that is serving or has served in the military. I know because I carry one and it makes me very proud.
